Catch 22: Financial Security Causes Insanity

So here I am, still in Nova Scotia and completely dreading January 7th.
So apparently I only have time to write posts on holidays, considering the last one was right before Thanksgiving. Not much has changed, still working, still stressed, still looking to study for my GRE. Christmas was good although we lost our luggage with all the presents in it and still haven’t heard from the airline on what the status is. I had good intentions to write a series of Christmas themed posts on the real stories behind traditional Christmas symbols and traditions, but I’ve just been so stressed out and overwhelmed by everything that had to be done before getting here that I just didn’t get to it. So maybe next year, but I make no promises. I’m glad I didn’t announce the advent of these tidbits because I would have felt even worse if I couldn’t deliver even this seemingly simple “gift”. Everyone tells me not to feel bad about losing the gifts, but it sort of feels like a type of failure.
So Christmas was okay, could have been better but at least we’re in good health and safe and warm. I guess those are the most important things. I hope everyone’s Christmas went well, good food was had and everyone was safe and sound.
What was your favorite gift this year that you received? That you gave?
