Well, this morning was spent running around trying to get everything done for getting ready to move. I changed my address at the Royal Bank and paid a bill, transfered my mail at the post office and gave back my mail key, and called Eastlink about switching my services to the new apartment. Unfortunately, I won’t be getting those until next Friday! So that means an entire week with only my cell phone for my refuge. Of course, there is internet on campus so I won’t be entirely cut off, but I wish I had known that a service man had to come to the apartment and get things ready for me. The other person that I talked to said that they unhooked it and rehooked it in the same day, so I assumed that it was a one day job. Darn peoples misleading me!

I’ve got the new apartment key, I haven’t been up there yet so I’m planning to wait until we pick things up from the store to go on up. Apparently, the person living below me is very sick with cancer :( so we have to be gentle when moving and make sure we don’t block the handicap spot. From what the super was saying, it didn’t seem like the poor guy had much time left, which is really sad. I’m pretty quiet so I don’t think they have to worry about me making a lot of noise while living there. Alley is pretty quiet too, she doesn’t usually go on running sprees these days, I think the kitten in her is starting to go away. Which is kind of sad, but she’s been more cuddly lately and a good companion. Right this moment, she’s curled up beside me taking a nap. I think the lack of excitement due to company has calmed her down a little, so this weekend she’ll probably be running all over the place.

I found a place to bring my wedding dress to. It’s in Kentville and I’m planning to go over sometimes next week and bring it down. Mom doesn’t want me driving into Halifax if I can avoid it (probably for the best in this unpredictable weather) so I’m gonna bring it into Kentville and pray that they don’t screw it up. I’ll get a better idea when they examine the dress and I can see the shop. Anyways, I’ve gotta head down to class and drop off some papers, then I’m heading to the bus stop to pick up Mandy and Lyssa! HUZZAH! Man, it’s gonna be a good weekend.
