Trials of The Sick and Coughing
Sunday, November 13th, 2005I went back into my archives again today to reread about that awful flu I had last year, to see how long it was before I started with the stuffy nose, well, I was completely cured in a week, but Sunday and Monday were the worst two days. Here we are Sunday and I still have the sore throat and my cough has gotten worse, but no stuffy nose yet. I’m not sure if there isn’t a stuffy nose with this particular virus, which is rather odd, and if the sore throat is EVER going to go away.
Man, I think I even started it on the same day. Well, they say that the average flu/cold takes about 2 weeks to fully run its course but the symptoms ease up before then. Hopefully by tomorrow I will be fully lots better because I have stuff to do, if I was out of laundry last week you can only imagine the current situation. Although, my current attire of PJs isn’t really hurting my outdoor clothes stash. I also realized I have a lot of clothes here that no longer fit. Which saddens me. Once I get better I’ll have to attack my closet.
In the event that I feel naseous, I still have that Gravol from last year (Americans that don’t know what Gravol is click here), so at least I won’t have to throw up. They are also good for when you are naseated and can’t sleep, as I found out last year and not being able to sleep a whole night and throwing up. (See last blog entry referenced)
I also found it interesting that the last time I was sick like this, it was one month before I was supposed to fly to Texas. Hopefully the trend of me getting sick on my way TO Texas won’t happen! It’s different being sick for a week when I’m supposed to be there for 4 months, but only 2 1/2 weeks doesn’t leave much time!!
