Texan Saturday Mornings
I woke up this morning feeling fully rested and ready to start the day: beautiful sunshine streaming in through my windows and just having that Saturday morning free feeling. Of course, all the things that I have to get done are indoor things. Which really sucks.
It makes me think about how awesome Saturday mornings were in Texas. We usually slept in, and I would go wake up Mike from the couch around 10 or so, and then we would hang out for a bit, before showering and stuff, then there was often breakfast cooking downstairs. After that we’d head out to the bank or shopping, usually being out most of the day. Often there was Mexican food to be had. There’s just something about Saturdays that were so good. At night we’d usually kick back at home and maybe watch movies or play some video games. So nice and relaxing.
My Saturday today is looking like maybe escaping only long enough to take a walk. I have sooo much work to do. I didn’t get everything done that I wanted to last night. I barely made a dent in my homework actually. Bah. I can’t wait to finish these distance courses.
