More of the Same

Wednesday, January 12th, 2005

Well, I guess it was time for a more regular schedule with the blogs. I think it’s been since November that I updated frequently. I’ve been pretty busy with school and spending quality time with Mike. We’ve been having a lot of fun hanging out together. Watched a bunch of movies, and played quite a few video games. My head is healing, but it’s still pretty tender where the glass made contact.

Tomorrow I have my first Physics of Music class. It had better be good from the amount that I paid for the text book. Casey, who’s in my theory class, said that it was easy, so hopefully she’s right and it won’t be too bad.

In good news, I think that I’ll be for sure heading to Texas for Spring Break. Hopefully my teachers won’t decide to spring a test on me at the last second or right after the break, because I’d like to stay as long as possible.

My Apt Hates Me

Peacefully minding my own business, watching Mike kick the pants off of King K. Rool on my Donkey Kong 64 game, and enjoying a piece of McCain frozen cake. This was me, last night, until….

All of a sudden, my glass light fixture fell off the ceiling and hit me in the head. My cake went flying and I held my pained head, yelling in agony. Mike got me into my room and got some ice, and then I got him to call the apartment people to help clean it up and this morning they installed a new one (along with fixing a few other things that needed taking care of). He was pretty concerned that I was going to sue, but I doubt that he has to worry about that. I mean, if I would sue anyone, it would be the people upstairs for pounding on the floor and probably shaking it loose.

But yeah, the new light fixture is light weight glass, not heavy like the last one, and minus one rather large brass knob. It has three hooks to keep it attached instead of just one, too. Man, when I buy lights for my house someday, this incident will definitely come to mind.

But yeah, I didn’t go to classes today, so I hope that I didn’t miss TOO much, but I guess time will tell in that regard. At least it was the first classes so hopefully I won’t be too lost.

But yeah, to make it even worse, I burnt myself whilst cooking supper last night. Sigh.

Happy New Year!

Just a super short blog here so that something shows up when you click on whatever brings you my way. Everything is hunky dory, I passed all my courses so huzzah to that. I’m still kinda floundering around in the money department, but I’ll survive somehow.

Hope everyone had a good break and more updates will follow once Mike boards a plane back to Texas in two weeks. *sob*
