10 Steps to Success!

Wednesday, June 9th, 2004

Since I am keeping everyone up to date on pre-cruise happenings, I decided to do it in a fun way. So here are my ten steps to success in planning a trip in one month.

10. Make sure you have Wite-out when filling out a passport application. When you’re so used to writing 643 before the last 4 digits of a number, mistakes are bound to ensue.

9. Buy a 24 pack of Pepsi to save funds. This way I don’t have to buy any until before I leave! That is, if I can manage my one can per day regime.

Passports and Other Vacation Paraphernalia

Tuesday, June 8th, 2004

Well, I just got the shock of my life last night and suddenly my life is even MORE upside down then it was a mere 25 hours ago. When did things just so crazy and fun!? Sure I always said I wanted a boring life, but no. This is great! Amazing, even. Now if the last piece of the puzzle could fall into place. Employment!

What the frig are you rambling about now? you ask. Let me start over. From about a month and a half ago. I had a problem. With a web design I was trying to create, see I wanted a Javascript drop down menu. So I posted an innocent question, which was responded by a cute Texan.

Fast forward to present day.

HMV Guy

Thursday, June 3rd, 2004

Now I can’t remember what exactly made me think about this guy, but I think about a lot of things when I’m bored at work. For all you non-Canadianites out there, this is HMV. Ie, My favorite store ever.

So I used to go there a lot when I lived in Halifax. I mean, what else did I have to do, and it killed off many a Saturday afternoon when I browsed around the CDs and DVD collections. One day, while looking for something, who knows what, I struck into a conversation with a salesguy. We must have talked for well over an hour. Not thinking very much of it, I went home (most likely purchaseless, who has money in university!) and didn’t really give it much thought.

June!

Tuesday, June 1st, 2004

Wow, finally a new month. This means that all the Junebugs will be dead soon — HUZZAH! Can’t wait for that little piece of glory! Dumping the ice from the salad bar will be non-hazardous again!

I wasn’t going to post anything today since I have absolutely nothing to talk about, but here’s my “yay it’s June!” post regardless. Today started as a brilliantly sunny day, but to my dismay was cloudy by noon. So now it’s pouring rain, of course, which makes me rather sad. I hate rain. But!! I heard on the weather report tonight that Saturday was giving sunshine — and it’s my day off! HUZZAH! I can’t believe my luck! What will I do on this glorious day off? The sky’s the limit!

I’ve also taken to listening to a lot of Country Music lately. This rather scares me, but it’s mainly Faith Hill and the like, so at least we’re staying away from the Hank Williams and George Jones. I go through these kicks every now and then. When I get a Death Metal kick, then I’ll be terrified!
